STEP 1: INQUIRY

Thank you for your interest in The Wonder School! To begin your admissions process, you may reach us via phone call, email or visiting the school directly. During this time, we will ask you to provide some basic information including your name, and your child’s name, age and date of birth. Please click on this link to get in touch with us.

STEP 2: SCHOOL VISIT

We highly encourage families to schedule a school visit. We will give you a tour of the school and show you the campus facilities. You will also get a chance to see our classrooms and talk to a teacher to learn more about our program. Tours usually take around 30 minutes to an hour every Mondays to Fridays from 9:30 am to 3:00 pm. Let us know when you will be free to visit and we will gladly schedule a time for you.

Apart from the tour, you will also receive The Wonder School’s list of requirements, fees and  Trial class guidelines. We will also request that you please provide us with your child’s supporting documents such as previous school/s records, evaluations or assessments from professionals that your child has worked with (e.g. Developmental Paediatrician, Occupational Therapist, Physical Therapist, Speech Therapist).

STEP 3: APPLICATION REVIEW

Families who are interested in pursuing an application at The Wonder School should complete and provide all necessary requirements. School leadership will review your child’s application. If accepted, we will determine a possible placement for your child and our Admissions Team will be in touch with you regarding next steps.

STEP 4: TRIAL CLASS

The purpose of the trial class is to introduce your child and your family to a new environment – the physical set-up, our people, and the school culture and routines. A new place, new people, new ways of doing things can be overwhelming to young children and every child has a different timetable for adjusting to all this novelty. We highly encourage families to take a trial class. If you are interested, please let us know and we will coordinate a day with the teachers. Please note that the trial class has a minimal fee.

STEP 5: SCHOOL DECISION

You will receive a formal letter from the school once your child has been officially accepted at The Wonder School. Our Admissions Team will be in touch with you regarding the completion of your requirements, your desired payment plan and if you are interested in enrolling for the After School Learning Program. An official Fee Payment Plan will be sent to you as well.

STEP 6: ADMISSION

Before your child can officially start at The Wonder School, families have to complete all paperwork and provide all necessary requirements. Documents submitted to The Wonder School become part of our official records and cannot be withdrawn after registration. Please contact our Admissions Team regarding payment of school fees and other important school guidelines.

STEP 7: INDIVIDUAL CHILD ORIENTATION (ICO)

To further promote good beginnings, we invite everyone to come for a short, thirty-minute individual child orientation prior to the first day. The goal is to help your child begin to establish trust in new adults in the presence of a significant adult (parent) and to introduce your child to new routines and gain familiarity in navigating a new classroom. This is also an opportune time to meet your child’s teacher/s and share important information that would smoothen the transition to this new place.

STEP 8: FIRST FEW DAYS AT THE WONDER SCHOOL

A parent, caregiver or other trusted adult will need to accompany the child during the period of their adjustment to TWS. Whenever a new child starts in our program, we ask the parent or caregiver to spend time assisting the child in learning the daily routines and in developing a relationship with the teachers. Meanwhile, the teachers will observe and learn the child’s characteristic ways of responding to the new environment. The duration of this gradual phase-in depends on their developmental stage, previous experiences with separations, and the family’s needs.
